I am looking for ANY info/ references on Wound Care coding/billing..........
I need info on ALL of the things.....
I have looked into all the guidlines (LCD & National), looked around AAPC, and I am still having a difficult time wrapping my head around it........
ANYTHING AT ALL would be sooo greatly appreciated!
This is probably my 4th/5th time posting for help on this, so hopefully someone will have something........

It looks like AAPC has an upcoming live webinar November 1st on The ABCs of Chronic Wound Care - Auditing, Billing & Coding: https://www.aapc.com/medical-coding...of-chronic-wound-care-auditing-billing-coding

Also, there is an on demand webinar on Chronic Wound Care Coding, Billing and Documentation: https://www.aapc.com/medical-coding...c-wound-care-coding-billing-and-documentation

Both are presented by Linda Martien, who is an expert on wound care coding. I'd probably go with the live upcoming one since there could be some overlap between the two. If you can't attend live on November 1st, that recording should be available for on demand viewing within a week or so afterwards.

Additionally, I found a few other links with webinars about wound care coding - I just found these by Googling "wound care coding webinars" but I only pasted a few examples. There were lots more results and even some YouTube videos that showed up when I googled - you could probably find quite a few more.




I don't do wound care coding, so unfortunately I can't answer specific questions. I just wanted to help guide you to other resources that might be helpful. Hope you find what you're looking for!

Thank you so much for the response as well as the links!
I am registered for the AAPC webinar next month, but in the meantime am looking for any info I can find. I work for a hospitalist group that just recently decided to take up wound care......so I am actively coding/billing wound care. I definitely would feel more comfortable with more info (as I'm kinda winging it for now!), so your response is so appreciated! :)
