Please help ASAP. Patient seen in ER and transferred to another facility. What is the Management Options to determine the MDM of this? Is it moderate like an IP/OP Admit or does it rate a High? Thanks in advance!
You haven't given enough information to be able to answer this - patients are transferred to a facility for a reason, such as a surgery or type of care that is needed and can't be provided where they are. That would be the information that would drive your management options choice for MDM. Typical if a patient is sick enough to require transfer from an ER, that is a high-risk situation, but your provider documentation of the patient's condition should drive this, not the fact that the patient was transferred.
