:confused: Dr did a closed reduction and percutaneous pinning of the proximal humerus. There is no CPT code for this. I am unsure how to properly code for this. Of course, we do not like an unlisted, but if is the only route to go, which CPT code would be the most appropriate comparrison?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

23605 is closed treatment of proximal humeral fracture with manip...your right there is no perc pinning so i would either go with that code or maybe even a 23615-52 (reduced services) since it was perc pinning and a punture wound was made. What do you think?
 
Since the doctor is doing the pinning, I would not reduce the service with mod. 52. He is doing a percutaneous fixation of a major bone, so you might consider 27235 as a comparable.
