Physician has rendered 1) a 66984 Cataract Sx. 2) performs OD. Pars Plana Vitrectomy. 3) Removal of nuclear fragments from vitreous cavity... Any rendered help would be greatly appreciated and taken into consideration.
Sounds like cataract fragments migrated to the posterior chamber so physician used a tool called a vitrector to break up and suction the fragments out. I would say 67036 along with the cataract code and there should be a modifier showing these as separate procedures if it was done as an inpatient.
