How would you code this?
Keloid removal was performed. The incision was then taken down through subcutaneous
tissue to the tensor fascia lata, which was subsequently opened. The vastus lateralis on the lateral side was split appropriately to expose the plate. Considerable bone had grown up around the sides and this was removed using an osteotome. The screws and the plate were removed and then the plate was removed without difficulty. The wound was irrigated out and closed in layers in the usual fashion. A plastic closure with 3-0 Monocryl for the skin was then performed with a good plastic closure.
Thank you,
