Guidance please!! Our clinic has enlisted the help of an LPC. However, there has been some discussion as to whether we can use incident-to billing for her for Medicaid. They are denying her claims, and the billing department advised me to code the assessment/intervention out under the provider's name and it will be paid. I didn't think these services could be reported this way, but perhaps I'm wrong. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

The referring psych doc should be listed on documentation record or the psychiatrist or family referral doc reviewing the LPC work. This data (referring Psych. doc) is listed on the claim too .It use to be with Medicaid had to do treatment plan or pre approval for some LPC Beh.Health sessions. Whoever treated the patient name must be on record, but can list referring doc on claim and med record.
