Bc/bs will not reimburse for speech pathology when dysphonia or dysphagia are used as dx. I understand that these are symptoms, but until checked by pathologist, the dx is not known. Any help on this issue would be welcome. tway@soundhealthservices.com

You may be best served by calling BCBS and asking for a copy of there policy on CPT 92506 and 92507. Review the policies with your physician and see where that leads.
One of my physicians had to place a few calls to the medical director before being able to have 30130 paid with our local BCBS. It ended up being a a claim check error that just kicked the claims out.
