trying to incorporate assisted stretching into a pain mgmt practice it has incredible results, but cannot figure out how to properly bill this under CPT's. When I look at 97110 that seems to be the go to but then seems that it can only be billed by physical therapist. Just trying to get a little direction or clarification on this

I have a CPT procedure reference for 97110, which starts with, "The physical therapist or the healthcare provider ..." In the CPT, it refers to it as, "The physician or other qualified health care professional (eg, therapist) ..."

Doubtful any payer is going to cover this. Personal Trainers are not qualified healthcare professionals. Even billing under an MD, I have no idea if that would even be allowed, I doubt it. Maybe an AT.
You would want to check the AMA definition of qualified health professional (QHP), state scope of practice laws, and with the payer.
There may be some outside cases where they could use their FSA or HSA possibly.
