I have a rejection from blue cross: I billed under CRNP- they are not paying the guided u/s 76942, but they are paying the joint injection 20610... what is up with this? Please help!

Are you adding modifier -26 for the professional component only? (or does your practice own the US?)

we own it... i don't see why they are paying for the jt injection and not the guided ultrasound

I don't see a reason for denial either. I would appeal with documentation. GOOD LUCK!!
