Wiki Guidance on EMG and Nerve Conduction Billing

We are receiving lot of denials for 95903, 95900 and 95904 (Nerve Conduction) being bundled with Needle Placement or 95860 and 95861. We have researched every where on Medicare website on New Billing Guidelines for these codes. Please let us know if there is any organized resource.

As of Jan 2012 Cpt added codes 95885 emg done with nerve conduction up to four muscles, each extremity and 95886 five or more muscles each extremity. These are add on codes to be used with 95903,95900, and 95904. The 95860 and 95861 cannot be used with the nerve conductions any longer. Hope this helps.
