Hi, all. Hoping for some suggestions on this one. Thanks in advance.

PREOPERATIVE/POSTOPERATIVE DIAGNOSIS
Chronic pain, right femoral area.

OPERATION PERFORMED
Exploration right groin.

ANESTHESIA
General.

DESCRIPTION OF PROCEDURE
The patient was prepped with DuraPrep and draped sterilely. The patient was placed under general anesthesia. The patient's site of pain, it was well marked. It was to 2 cm above the Pfannenstiel incision, the right lateral margin. The incision was then made through the Pfannenstiel incision carried down through the subcutaneous tissues. The site was kept well visualized. It was clear that a nerve was perforating the fascia at the level of the discomfort. Decision was to divide this nerve. This was done without difficulty. The area was well injected with Marcaine. The fascia was opened no other defects were appreciated. The fascia was then closed with 2-0 Vicryl interrupted suture. Subcutaneous tissue was closed with 3-0 Vicryl and a 4-0 Vicryl subcuticular stitch utilized, Steri-Strips and Tegaderm applied. The patient tolerated the procedure. The nerve was sent for pathologic exam. Followup in the office is planned.
