I'm looking for clarification on lab modifiers.
Resident performs biopsy so the -GR modifier is added to the procedure code. The GR modifier does not go on the lab test, correct? In my research, I have not found anywhere that states GR is an appropriate modifier for lab codes as the resident is not performing the lab, only the biopsy.
If anyone has source material on this, I would really appreciate it.
