We recently had an orthopaedist in our area to go out on medical leave; and our office is now having to see his patients for post -operative care. I am added modifier 55 to all the surgical codes and billing for post operative care. the surgical code starts new post op care and some of these patients may be only a few weeks of being out of their globals do we have to cover them for 90 days.
