I am new to general surgery coding and would like to know of any good resources or quick reference guides that might be available.

I really found the General Surgery Coding Alert from The Coding Institute to be very helpful when I was starting out. I also was very lucky to sit next to the surgeon's nurse and she filled in the gaps of what I was reading in an OP report. She was worth her weight in gold.
