Can a mention of psychomotor pacing be used to count Gait as having been evaluated under the 1997 guidelines for psychiatric E/M coding? What I have seen is that psychomotor pacing is an indication of psychiatric disorders and is part of the psychiatric and/or neurologic evaluation. Would further description be needed in order to count it? All the note says is a stand-alone phrase of psychomotor pacing.
