Hello,

G0444 is time based 5-15 minutes. If the PHQ2 is negative what are other offices doing to meet the 5-15 minutes? Just need to know if we are missing something.

We use the PHQ9 and the provider has a brief discussion with the patient regarding depression.

Yes, the nurse does the assessment with the patient then the provider reviews it and has a discussion with the patient.

Has anyone recently noticed/received denials with Humana for the G0444 being billed with G0439, and/or 99214, 93000? The denial reasoning is "invalid principal diagnosis" The dx code we have been using is Z13.31, unless they have a dx code of depression.
