I am new to ASC's...I only code surgeries/procedures for hospital (outpatient basis) Is there a difference in the coding of the two? Meaning, I normally don't code for supplies, drugs,medicines, etc.. used during operations. Do ASC's normally code for these things? Any other differences? Thanks!

No, there is no difference. Only the surgical procedures are reported on the claim. In some instances supplies may be reported. Check with the individual carrier regarding this.:
