can someone advise me on coding a closed reduction colles fracture that failed, and was immediately ORIF. DR believes a 22 mod should be added.
THANKS FOR ANY HELP AND INSIGHT!!!!

Based solely on what you said, not having the documentation to support my thoughts, I would report 25600 or 25605 (depending on if there was manipulation or not) and then I would report the ORIF with a modifier 58.
