Wiki Fracture care w/ Manipulation or w/o

Pt was seen in Observation with a proximal humeral shaft fracture. The physician that was consulted to treat the fracture placed a new coaptation splint and placed in a cuff and collar to allow traction by gravity. The pt is to sit upright for sleeping and sit upright during the day. He reexamined the next day to see if it helped with the abducted part of the fracture. My question is this consider treatment with manipulation or not?

Not manipulation. But you can code for the coaptation splint.

BTW, what code did you use for the coaptation splint? The long arm splint is from shoulder to hand and the short arm is from elbow to hand. The coaptation is from shoulder to elbow.
