Hello,
I need some clarification: If a patient is and inpatient at the hospital for a fractured hip and the hospital did not code for a fracture care but coded the fracture itself (we saw the patient as a consult in the hospital).
The patient is to follow up with us in our office once release from the hosptal.
Patient comes in for the followup and the report indicated healing acetabular fracture.
Can I code the actual fracture with a fracture care? Or do I code a V code with a straight E/M code.
