I know that: “If a cast, strapping, or splint treats multiple closed fractures without manipulation, only one closed fracture without manipulation CPT code may be reported.”
BUT what if a patient has a fracture, is put in a boot and charged global fracture care, then comes back in 2 months with a new fracture same foot? No new treatment, just continue with the boot. Dr. is wanting to bill fx care again for the second fx.
??? Any thoughts?
