Can we bill a seperate code for Foley removal ?
Pt has foley placed in hospital by a emergency doc, pt comes to our office to have it removed. Is that just an E&M or can we bill a seperate code for removal of Foley Cath since we did not place it. If so, what would that code be?
Dr also advised that she flushes the system before removing the cath. Could that perhaps fall into the 51700 irragation code?
