My question is what flu code to use if pt is <65 is it Q2038?

When we will use Q2039?.

Or no matter ?<65 or >65 the flu code is Q2038.

Q2038 Fluzone Vaccine:

Influenza virus vaccine, split virus, when administered to individuals 3 years of age and older, for intramuscular use (Fluzone)

Q2039 NOS (Not Otherwise Specified) Vaccine:

Influenza virus vaccine, split virus, when administered to individuals 3 years of age and older, for intramuscular use (Not Otherwise Specified)

What you bill depends on the brand of vaccine.

Q2035 for Afluria
Q2036 for Flulaval
Q2037 for Fluvirun
Q2038 for Fluzone
Q2039 for non of the above or not specified

These are of course only for 3+ yrs old, IM injection.
Also only for when billing to Medicare.
Otherwise you would continue to use: 90655,90656,90657,90658,90660,90662.
