HI everyone,

I am a student and I am getting ready to take my medical coding classes in the fall. Looking at job boards etc. it seems you need to have experience. So now I am worried that it will be impossible to find a job.

Thank you ,
Lora

Some places advertise for the two years experience as a requirement, but are willing to hire a CPC-A. Try the county hospitals, and medical staffing companies. It's worth it!

Good luck!

I started in data entry just to get my foot in the door. Got lucky and a coder left 9 months later so I got that job. A lot of the people I went to school with started at entry level jobs in doctor's offices just to get a start.
