Cant find a cpt code for a closed reduction of a femur fracture with intramedually nailing . 27506 is for open , I did not see anything for closed. thanks

look at the definition of a closed procedure at the beginning of the musculoskeletal chapter in the CPT book. You will find the answer there.

It says that a closed reduction which includes making a incision to insert an intrameduilary nail is coded as an open procedure. so you use the open procedure code with a closed fx dx code.
