Hello. Regarding FMT (Fecal Microbiota Transfer, CMS recommends to bill bio material using revenue code 256 (experimental new drug.) Supposing the procedure meets medical necessity criteria, would we expect payment for the implanted material itself? Also, how would we code/bill for this procedure if provided while patient is in-patient status?
