Help Please !
This patient had loosening of the femoral component of a right total knee and significant heterotopic bone formation. My doctor performed a revision of the femoral component with removal of heterotopic ossification, recementing of the femoral component and poly exchange on the tibial side. Would this be billed as revision both components with a 52 modifier or revision of one component with a 22 modifier. I know this case was very difficult and took him considerable time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
