I have a question about inducing labor and billing for it if it is failed.
I have a patient that came to the hospital post 40 weeks for induction. She was admitted for observation. Provider did cervical dilation and observed patient for several hours and she did not complete. He sent her home the next morning and will attempt induction again in 2-3 days.
So would I bill the observation day and the cervical dilation? I was thinking it would be 99219 and 59200. Please help! thanks!
