We just started out with Facility Laboratory billing... Does anyone have experience with this type of billing? Do you have any links or access to Webinars or Documentation? Is it all considered Medicare Part B? Does it get billed on a CMS 1500 form? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)

When you say "Facility Laboratory", do you mean a lab located inside a facility like a hospital or physician's office, or do you mean a free-standing Clinical Laboratory?

Clinical Laboratories are considered Part B. You would bill on the CMS-1500. All tests must be ordered by a physician, and the medical necessity for those tests must be documented in the record. I would review the Medicare Policy Manual for Laboratories and the Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule, both found on the CMS website.
