Wiki Facility based OB clinic split billing

Hello,
When a facility employed MD is reimbursed for and providing global ob care in a facility based clinic is the facility allowed to bill for a clinic visit for a routine prenatal or postpartum visit (an E and M only-no labs or other services performed) when the physician will not be submitting a claim ?

Yes they can and they should. The global concept OB or surgical does not apply to the faciliy
