Dr. did arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. Operative report states - We noted anterior and posterior labral fraying and we also noted synovitis in the rotator joint. We started by doing an extensive debridement of the glenohumeral joint. Using a shaver, we debrided the anterior labrum which was frayed. The rotator interval which was synovitic, this was debrided all the way down to the coracohumeral ligament. The superior labrum which was frayed.
My question is does this support 29823 and if it does would I use the 51 modifier?
