Hello Everyone, I am looking for a procedure to use for the exploration of the chest wall here's the op report
Patient placed in the or table . Sedation given and chest prepped and draped in the usual position. Preop cxr did not reveal the port in the usual area. A port was identified and patient insisted that the port had migrated. preop discussion with patient and she wished to proceed with removal of portacath. Incision made in the chest wall mid sternum, medial inframammary area on right. Wound explored and it appeared like a port for a saline implant. Wound was irrigated and closed as this was not a portacath port. Subcuticular skin closure performed . dermabond applied.
Final sponge needle and instrument count was correct
