Contract E/M CODER - Aviacode is looking for 3-4 expert PRIMARY CARE E/M coders that can work a minimum of 15+ hours a week. This is for a long-term remote coding position, with the opportunity to move to a FTE or supervisory position..

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing high quality E/M and procedure coding across multiple clients.
- This is a 15-40 hour week position.
QUALIFICATIONS
- CPC or equivalent through the AAPC or AHIMA
- CEMC preferred, but not required
- Must have at least 2 years of active E/M coding experience.
- Must include coding POS 11, 21, 22
- Must include coding of in-office procedures relevant to Primary Care
- Must have proof of passing an ICD-10 Proficiency or Readiness Assessment through the AAPC or AHIMA
- Must pass Aviacodes internal coding test
- Signed contract with Aviacode
- Must reside on U.S. Soil
- Must have your own CURRENT CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 and HCPC books
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- This is a CONTRACT position for a long-term project
- You will be coding E/M visits with in-office procedures and the ICD-10 codes
- Most coders on this project average 20+ claims per hour.
- Must complete a certain number of charts per pay period.
- Must maintain a 95% accuracy rate.
- Mandatory interactive, live-online training required (paid)
- You will be paid twice a month on the 10th and 25th. The pay periods go from 1-15 and 16-31.
- This is a 1099 position.
- Must have a Windows Based Operating System (MAC is not compatible).
- If performance is good there is an opportunity to move to a FTE or supervisory position.
