Hi everyone-
I am needing help with a CPT and diagnosis code for the following.
Post operative diagnosis: Chronic dorsal navicular fracture with painful non-united fragment
Procedure: Dorsal navicular non-united fragment excision.
Body of operative note: "Sharp dissection was carried out through the skin and gentle blunt dissection through the subcutaneous tissues to the joint capsule. This was opened longitudinally exposing the small mobile fragment of the dorsal navicular fragment. This was easily excised and fluoroscopy was used to verify adequate full excision of the fragment."
Reading the office notes, the fracture happened many years ago.
Any thoughts or comments are greatly appreciated.
