Hi,
My coworkers are having a disagreement of how to code a patient that had a facelift, and a formation hematoma after surgery due to excessive bleeding . The bleeding was due to the patient taking aspirin before the procedure. The physician removed the previous sutures and then evacuated the hematoma, electrocoagulated bleeding points and applied tissue sealant under the flap. And then placed a drain in the incision and performed a layered closure. Which cpt and icd-9 codes would you use?
