can I bill for the EGD 43239 as well as for the tube placement code 43246 also the dx is dysphasia and personal history of tongue cancer so i have billed it as procedure 43246 and dx 727.20 dysphasia and V10.01 for the personal history of the tongue cancer please help me I am pretty new and our senior coder is out on maternity leave so I am all alone and panicking

No you cannot

43246 includes the egd.

As far as diagnosis goes you need to look at your local coverage determinations if this is a Medicare claim.

If it is a commercial carrier then 787.21 dysphagia, v10.01 would be appropriate
