One of my docs (obgyn) saw a patient in the ER, then took her to surgery for miscarriage. Patient was discharged right after surgery. Is the ER consult billed, or do I just code the surgery and discharge? Help! Our surgical coder is out for a little while, and this has fallen onto my desk.
