If a patient went to the ER during the night and then came in to the office the following day can we bill for the office visit? This would be 2 visits on same day but ER physician and a PCP.

No conflict here since there are two separate physicians billing E/M's.

Can we bill for Observation hours if the patient is just waiting for a bed to be transferred to a psych facility?
