I have a patient that was seen in the ER for a distal radius and ulna fracture. The ER physician did a closed reduction of the fracture. Two days later the patient had surgery where the surgeon did an ORIF of the same fracture.
My question is how should I code for the ER fracture care. Can both physicians get paid?
