Wiki ER CPT or Outpatient visit

I code for trauma surgeons. Frequently they are the only provider to see a patient in ER. Is it appropriate to code for Outpatient E&M rather than an ER visit. The ER visit has comparatively lower RVU's.

no if the POS is ER then you use the ER visit levels.
