Wiki Equipment Failure

Pt came in for a sleep study. He was fully prepped and the test began. After an hour or so the equipment failed and the test was discontinued. Do we use a -52 a -53 or do we not bill it at all?

definately report it, use modifier -53

I would use 53 modifier and V64.1 for the dx, procedure not carried out.
