Wiki EP verse Cardiologist

Help,
We have EP doctor and Cardiologist within our group. Problem having is EP doctor inserts Pacermaker which has 90 day global. The Cardiologist see the patient for his f/u care.
i'm having insurance companies deny for global. Notes do not indicate that the patient is being seen for anything else or complications. Can I still bill for the f/u or are they consider global even though the doctors are different specialities?

IMO I would say no. Looks as though the cardiologist is performing the post op care. If the physician was seeing the patient for another problem then I would bill but as you state it looks as if no other issues involved. Have you thought about using the 54 and 55 modifiers for the surgery and postop care?
