Can anyone tell me if this is billable from a doctors office when we provide the pill? Can it be billed on a HCFA? What would the cpt code be? I am saying no we can not bill since it can be scripted out. Most insurances will not pay us since we are not a pharmacy. I know we can not bill Medicaid or any of the Medicaid HMO's but I'm being told to bill other insurances, but have no idea what code to use, our NP is saying S4993, which we do use for birth control pills billed to Medicaid.
