Is using this on all observation stays recommended? The girl working our denials in the office is requesting us to use this indicator on all observation claims.... We have never had to in the past, just not sure that is advisable.. Can someone please clarify.. Thank you

Some insurance companies require an indicator on all claims for processing. If there is not an indicator listed, the claim could be denied. You are saying she is the biller working your denials, so it sounds like the claims are already being denied because they are missing the indicators. She is requesting it be done on all observation stays for all insurances to just be safe... Thank you
