Wiki Elastic braces new a code

One of my doctors just asked me to find out if there is a code we could use for the fitting and adjustment of the elastic orthotic braces we will be giving our pts. Medicare will not pay for the a4466 and for private payers the code does not state that the fitting and adjustment is included. Thanks so much for the help cora

Check your Medicare LCD's for the A4466. I found that the Florida regional should get paid for it. We haven't tried it yet but there are certain dx codes that can only be used. As long as you use one of the dx codes on the LCD you should be fine.
