Our physician wants to purchase an EKG machine but he wants to know if there are any guidelines on the type of machine he needs for services to be reimburesable as far as leads and channels

Does anyone have any information or links regarding this?
 
is that code used by medicare or is do they only accept G0403...which also appears to specify 12 leads.

do the number of channels make any difference? does it just have to be an FDA approved device?
