Hello,
Is there any reason to believe that EHR could dismiss the need for coders?
Thank you!
Sherri;)

Not from what I have observed! The EHR in some cases does give code suggestions but so often it is completely incorrect. The EHR has yet to replace a code book as an absolute necessity in the office!!

the more providers that use EHR's, the more auditing that will need to be done. I audit E/M's and office procedures and I find constant over charting of the ROS and physical exam that is not medically necessary. also lacking information on procedure notes.
