WHATS THE CORRECT ICD 10 CODE ?
PREOPERATIVE DIAGNOSIS: Dysphagia.
POSTOPERATIVE DIAGNOSES:
1. Esophageal stricture.
2. Schatzki ring.
3. Duodenal ulcer.
PROCEDURE PERFORMED: Esophagogastroduodenoscopy to the fourth biopsy with biopsy and dilation up to 18 mm, CPT code 43249 and 44361.
DESCRIPTION OF PROCEDURE IN DETAIL: After appropriate consent was done, the gastroscope was introduced. The Z-line was at 38 cm. There was no hiatal hernia. There was Schatzki ring. I dilated up to 3 atmospheric pressure with 18 mm balloon x2 for up to 45 seconds each. I cannulated the duodenum to the fourth portion. There was a small ulcer in the first portion of the duodenum. Biopsies were obtained. The patient tolerated the procedure well.
