Wiki Egd to hypopharynx only

I have a scope that was done on a patient but due to the esophageal sphincter not being able to be intubated, the egd was aborted. I do not see a CPT code for this. Has anyone came across this? Could I use a modifer? It is a medicare patient. Thanks for any help you may provide!! :confused:
 
What was the original intent? If in the op note the provider indicates the intent was to do an EGD, then look at 43235-53, with a note indicating the EGD was aborted d/t not being able to intubate the hypopharynx.
