My physicians are starting to perform an egd with an injection of ethamolin to the gastro jejunal anastamosis.
This is done when the patient has a dilation of the gastrojejunal anastamosis and the injection causes swelling and scarring which in turn allows more constriction .
i was thinking 43236 egd with submucosal injections any substance.
They have suggested 43243 but I am hesitant as this code specifys its for esophageal or gastri varices.
Any thoughts ??
Thanks
